liverpool based andy ash hits the saft imprint with two excellent analog house jams. the overall sound andy comes up with, hints to the early machine driven house sounds from the late 80s on the a1 in love whilst transitioning into the more jammy house sound andy has been purveying on his string of latest releases on his a2 jam called black stem.on the b side saft regular kastil provides andy ashs >in love< with a heavy machine rework. kastil proves he has been crafting and perfecting his production skills with some new hardware gear. this remix hold the intense feel of a 4am sweaty club session. all and all saft proudly present the 5th installment in their series of pure and all round house releases.

marcmans dici ep released a few months ago had a massive response from djs and dancers as well. here, paragram revisits some of the greatest highlights of that record. the rework treatment is in the care of three amazing artists such as franco cinelli, dorian paic and jorge savoretti.

gogo music proudly comes up with the second release of sir lsg, after we presented you *sax in the city*, which still was released under his former moniker hood natives and became a smash-hit in 2011. this time sir lsg teamed up with renown soul-singer brian temba and kafele who adds his distinctive trumpet lines. remixes are contributed by dj spinna and ben moss to complete a splendiferous release.
this gogo music release has been in the works for quite some time, but it surely was worth the wait and efforts, as we now are able to present a well rounded package of a well written song - exactly our aim at gogo music.

basic fingers is back! after releasing some amazing music on kat, g.a.m.m., moton and lumberjacks it is time to welcome the reflex to basic fingers. *curious it is* is a super sweet disco track with enough sing-a-long potential and a nice breakdown with a twist to have you dancing in seconds. flip it over for a dubby version which doesnt skimp on the cowbells!

roskas shocking ep is the latest release from the long-running rinse producer and his firstfor the label since last years rinse presents: roska2 lp. it finds the uk innovator on his usual fiery form, drawing for his characteristic deftly swung percussion and grime-infused sub-bass pressure. the explosive title track is the most overtly grimey roskas sounded for some time, slow-building intro giving way to a pulsating bassline and caustic laser blasts.

after the recent success of their expansive debut full length on idle hands and while they bask in the glory of their recently well received resident advisor podcast, jacob hodge and matt lambert push on with a new ep on bristols futureboogie. to date outboxx have fomented their own ebullient house style that is imbued with a keen sense of uplifting melody, plenty of analogue dust and some heavyweight bass, largely on bristol based labels, and this new ep sees them continue in that fine form.

ghostek is a russian garage and techno producer currently residing in moscow. he has previously released vinyl on other heights and shiprec, and has collaborated with rooflight as ghostlight, releasing a 12 inch on styrax. a prolific producer, his tracks have created a substantial online fan base, with some of his productions reaching tens of thousands of plays. he runs the digital label squared harmony. the *no way out ep* is composed of four tracks, two very garage leaning, two more towards techno, all reminiscent of londons music scene, despite the producers russian location. the dark atmosphere of the music is reflected in the artwork and track names across the release. sub squared is a new label, a sub-label of project squared which has a back catalogue including tracks by kowton, and, asusu and tom dicicco. the aim of this new label is to represent the taste of one of the two founders of project squared.

nyc-based japanese dub trio joins with hot japanese trumpet player takuya kuroda (jose james band, akoya afrobeat) for a house-tempo jam. out-of-this-world remixes by area & intrusion, for some boundary-pushing sounds.

high sheens third release of the year comes from sheffield based newcomer pegasus, who has recorded some classic garage sounds while retaining a unique style for 2013. the package comes complete with a stripped back warehouse techno remix from innershades and a deep house reworking from high sheen family lovers rights.

gianclaudio hashem moniri & giuseppe carlini formed the group plaster in rome italy in 2008 and has released eps, albums & been on compilations with their sharp edged sounds, deep beats with some funky syncopations since 2010 on labels such as kvitnu, crazy language, stroboscopic artefacts & touchin bass

someone sound the funk alarm … bumper, the netherlands-based duo of geoffrey t and mr pauli, live and breathe sizzling, floor-busting electro-funk with one ear cocked to the classic sound and the other raised towards some sci-fi future. “get into position” proclaims the goal here: get all those people on the dance floor, ready to move! jimmy edgar kicks things off with a deep techno remix full of swirling synths and an infectious bassline, then londons tad wily does a funky 4 on the floor remix. the flip features 3 original funk grooves of varying tempo. *get into position* stakes its claim on frenzied body motion. *s.o.s.* provides a deeper excursion into the boogie zone. *ten four* then pops along at an erotic city-esque pace. sweet!

an imperious opening gambit from the manchester collectives new label: a multi-pronged, vigorous, top-notch, house-techno showcase. the ep chugs straight off to the dance-floor, courtesy of the juniper duo at its darkest yet (after sides for ominira, underground quality and smallville), with jamming, filtered synths, echoing claps and vocals, and a b-line stealth attack. a regular at meandyou club nights, sul makes his recording debut here with a craftily delinquent and unhinged synth-pop… gone quite wrong. true to form, none other than kassem mosse — who played a night back in 2009 — turns in an instant classic, audacious and grimey, before collective mainstay heron rounds up proceedings with some deep n bleak, spectral techno, bathed in best basic channel traditions.

despite having a weird and unpronounceable name, 2methylbulbe1ol, once again is about spread some slammin dubstep over your kitchen floor. this young artist from france appeared already on the ruff label. he has always provided some harsh and extremely well produce sounds. watch out for more crazyness to come from this lad...

phil weeks >crate diggin< project has been bubbling under for some time while the french dj/producer carefully selected 30 of the tracks which have been most influential to him over the past 15-20 years. indeed many of the tracks - from artists including dj rasoul, dj sneak, brett johnson, inland knights, rick wade, mood ii swing and lawnchair generals - still feature as heavily in phils dj sets today as they did when originally released. released over three unmixed digital volumes and three vinyl samplers, crate diggin is a window into the musical dna of one of the most respected and prolific underground house artists of this century. as well as being a highly personal project to phil, it offers a rare chance to finally pick up hard-to-find and sought after gems that were only previously released on vinyl.

once in a while a high quality unknown artist project emerges from out of no where. the superjams 12 inch contains some refreshing sounds which balance on the thin line between modern day techno and house music. hybrid sounds that could be played by any purveyor of quality deephouse or any peaktime techno dj. highly original sounds without any further info available.

i first met leon vynehall in berlin before a gig at the amazing about_blank. we had a fun conversation and he played a really good set that night. much later i realized i had been playing one of his tracks (total s) for ages! we stayed in touch and i asked if i could hear some of his new music. he sent me five tracks and i signed four, that is a pretty good score if you ask me! smart and conscious about his music and his output, i think this ep is really only the beginning for leon vynehall. i am glad i am able to give it a platform and share these amazing tracks with you. also special props to d&m for doing a great mastering job on these. - martyn

the last 12 inch in the invisible sunrise remix series and to say they have saved the best until last would be unfair on all the other amazing remixes but this really is a doozy. quiet village do what they do best - an exceedingly epic 13 minute tropical jungle chugger that transcends time and space to take you on a trip you are never going to forget. without a doubt one of the best things we have heard from qv in quite some time. on the flip the advisory circle provide what is perhaps the most beautiful remix - melodic, inventive and deeply lush. an anthemic come down for those moments when you need a big audio hug. simply gorgeous. lastly seahawks leave us with an unreleased mix of crystal beach which sounds like george benson tripping his nuts off on a beach in hawaii at 5am….languid jazz guitar, slo mo beats, the sound of the waves and some deep electronics ... what more could you want? seahawks at their finest and one more reason this is an essential purchase. swim on forever.

having produced some stellar jams for labels like somethink sounds, and giles petersons brownswood, eliphino aka tom wrankmore, debuts for hypercolour this autumn, opening up the labels new term with this solid two track release. i dont care opens the account, all chopped up rnb vox and rolling beats, wrapped up in a super smooth melody. already road tested by the hypercolour firm over the last few months, this deep garage vibe hits the sweet spot for sure. on the flip, understand further plunders eliphinos love of rugged garage beats and an ear for a catchy hook. a feverish interplay of vocal chops, keys and organ stabs keeps up the ante, with some decidedly trancey synth parts ramping up the 90s house influences here, and once again a cut that most definitely brings the heat to the dancefloor.

powel aka paul christie is a berlin based dj/producer, and a relatively fresh name on the underground house circuit. christie has previously released material with some exciting new labels, namely, berlin-based label keller, wunderbar recordings and deliciuse, here he joins the fina roster, well and truly putting him on the map, and slotting in alongside move d, cottam and leif.

dj w!lds history in music dates back to the tail end of the 80s where his young and fascinated mind embraced the explosion of graffiti culture, disco, funk and hip-hop in his hometown of dijon. later as the infectious sounds of detroit techno and chicago house filtered through to europe, and laurent garnier exposed them to paris, w lds interest was peaked and a move to the capital was made. hes now at the forefront of electronic music culture, djing at some of the worlds leading nightclubs and boasting releases on off, robsoul and adult only, as well as running his own catwash and the w label imprints.

in the first of an irregular series of split 12 inches, aficionado open up a side each to some big mediterranean sounds. on the a is *pinzells* by joan bibiloni. a spanish guitar maestro based in the balearics, bibilonis early lps are now sought after by collectors from leeds to tokyo. *pinzells* (lifted from his amazing balears cd) is a majestic, chilled-out guitar piece. never released on vinyl until now, beaches & sunsets were invented for this beauty.

fast-rising rebel queen francesca lombardo is back on crosstown with her seductive new single ‘what to do featuring remixes from infinity ink, matrixxman and a luca cazal dub. showcasing francescas undeniable raw talent and pure, fluid vocal flair, what to do is another example of the producers sublime song composition in an electronic framework. the sultry mood evoked by francescas voice wraps around the infectious melody as spooky ethereal tones rise and fall with the subtly driving groove. infinity ink strip down the elements with mechanical precision, injecting some darker bass and a more solid kick. matrixxman revels in the twilight zone and delivers an alternative trippy tapestry of jagged synth stabs and melodic bleeps with only waves of the vocal. luca cazals dub is a perfect late night builder with added sonic textures

the production renaissance of rhythm plate continues apace with the third release on their pressed for time label which revisits one of the peak district duos earliest releases. originally issued on the crucial uk house imprint diy discs back in the halcyon days of the late nineties, the masters at wirksworth ep helped establish the rhythm plate sound. clever programming and a deep stomping vibe permeated all four tracks and this is still the case some fourteen years on. as the cunningly re-titled ep suggests, the two original tracks have been newly remastered and are accompanied by two brand spanking new mixes by matt rhythm and ant plate ... so theres now no reason to pay l106 on discogs for the original ep!

another superbly crafted ep released on the organic-music imprint features tom ellis three original tracks and a brilliant remix by leif. neither of the producers featuring on the release need any introductions as they are very well known names around the underground dance music scene for quite some time now. the ep has a very eclectic feel to it that can satisfy todays very demanding musical palates. deep. funky, bass driven, cross-over between live and electronic soundscapes, one can hear all of that in this little gem of a record.

jose cabrera and fred p split the first installment of the perception series. the determinism ep sees jc and fp giving their slant on principles of quantum level events through sound. raw and driving, this ep is a more than an adequate dj tool, it is a formula for the transportation of the subconscious. determinism is a metaphysical philosophical position stating that for everything that happens there are conditions such that, given those conditions, nothing else could happen. “there are many determinisms, depending upon what pre-conditions are considered to be determinative of an event.” deterministic theories throughout the history of philosophy have sprung from diverse motives and considerations, some of which overlap. some forms of determinism can be tested empirically with ideas stemming from physics and the philosophy of physics. the opposite of determinism is some kind of indeterminism (otherwise called nondeterminism).

the seventh instalment in lo sheas series of 10 vinyl only releases on seaghdha. you know by now how this goes - precision club workouts, which ricochet between uk flavoured jams, to clean cut techno & stripped down house. vasquez leads the charge here, less about the legendary captain of the soundfactory, and more the soundtrack to a drug deal gone bad in downtown miami. like her flails around a bowel troubling low end and crisp snare double act, piling on the pressure with an unrelenting groove and some deftly applied distortion. elsewhere 365247 is in more familiar lo shea / seaghdha territory, with some expertly manipulated, atmospheric sampling laid over a spare, shuffle-happy herbertesque workout. finally flash gives us a glimpse into sleepless basement, inhabited by addled humanoids, playing glass bottles.

lokee musik goes into round three with an ep from the man of mystery known as anonym. very little is known about the person behind the mask, except some rumours that he hails from the motor city. in true classic techno spirit he prefers to stay anonymous and let the music speak for itself.
